You may get the application form from the office of Qatar Distribution Center. They are open from 10:30Am-7:30PM from Saturday to Thursday

It will depend on your basic salary. A person who has less than 5000Qr can only buy a total of 700Qr of liquor from Qatar Distribution Center.

i had worked in qatar from 2004 - 2009. by 2005 i started building my "exit plan"... which is to leave qatar (by 2010) & later become either an entrepreneur or to migrate to US or canada. i did BOTH. in october 2009, i left my job to the surprise of my employers & friends. this is because my exit plan is so ripe that i need to take action... & so by january 2010, my consulting business (ie. business re-engineering & HR management outsourcing) was already receiving small but sustainable contracts from SunCellular, Robinson's Land, Digitel Telecommunications, Procter & Gamble, DILG, & a few BPO companies. At the same time, light began to shine from my canada immigration application & i take it my wife & i will be able to leave by january 2012.

from my experience, it doesn't take an MBA to realize your plans. all you need is your passion & vision towards what you really want. "passion" gives you the energy to work hard & smart towards your "vision", & your vision is your actual business plan. while in qatar i've done years of research until i was able to write my detailed consulting business plan allowing me to see actual scenarios backwards & forwards. 80% of my business plan did worked while the 20%, was easily taken care of thanks to my passion... of making thinks work!

"paralysis by analysis" is a symptom of idealist who do not really understand their direction. they simply grab ideas from someone else's success stories hoping it would work for them too. the same reason why food cart businesses proliferated but not necessarily became successful for everyone. people who have a clear vision do not hesitate, instead, the spend their time planning their business & not dreaming about their success.

to avoid being paralyzed, you need to understand yourself first. ask yourself "what do i really like doing?" if for example you're an architect who have a passion for designing & building, then probably you may have a good chance of setting up your own architectural firm! you just need to inject the remaining ingredient which is the technical aspect of management eg. marketing, accounting, personnel management, etc. to keep your company compliant.

business is not for dreamers. it is for visionaries. because, vision, is reality waiting to happen! you only need to know what is real for you.
